Inspiring Quotes of the Day #8

Alas, I am still ill and I find myself in need of more strong words. Sitting in front of my laptop tip tapping on the keys is about the only thing I can do that doesn’t cause instant dizziness. Something’s gotta give so I can feel better!

This quote is about strength (which I am in dire need of) and being able to overcome anything. I know most of my quotes surround this concept. I am a strong person who has overcome so many obstacles in my life. I want everyone to feel like they can overcome anything because everyone deserves a chance to have anything they’ve ever wanted.

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #7

As I sit on my couch surrounded by balled up Kleenex, cold cups of tea and bowls of forgotten soup, I find myself finally having the strength to write to you. It has been a few days, and for that I apologize. I have been in a state of exhaustion, fever illusions and an absurd amount of Tylenol Cold.

But all this unpleasantness brings me to the quote of the day. Since I am in need of strength and inspiring words, I thought of all my readers and how you might need it too. Even though, at this moment, I don’t feel like I can get off my couch, it will not be the case forever. We need to remember that not all things we perceive to be bad are forever. Life has a way of sorting itself out. We will keep going. We have to.

“Let everything happen to you; Beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final” – Rainer Maria Rilke

Inspiring Quotes of the Day # 6

There is always a fear of never being good enough. This can stop you from trying to push your limits and reach greatness.

I am guilty of feeling this way. Almost as if my failures will define me if I let them happen. This is not the case. The quote I chose today puts failing into perspective. It reminds us that failure is not a bad thing. It brings on change and through its trials, we find success. We can, and will, learn from these failures to constantly become better.

Don’t fear failure. It will just make you try harder to succeed.

“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently” – Henry Ford

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #5

I have had a few frustrating days lately, with a feeling like I’m being silenced by everyone around me.

Respect is such a valuable trait that people forget within the hustle and bustle of their own lives. I chose this quote to inspire the ability to stand up and be heard. You are an opinionated being who should be able to share your thoughts with others and be void of all judgements.

I hope this fixes the feeling of powerlessness that comes sometimes with being ignored. Be you, no one can change that.

“Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your inner voice” – Steve Jobs

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #4

It’s Monday. “Everybody loves Monday”…said no one ever. Not only is it Monday, but it is rainy, cloudy, foggy and generally unpleasant. This fact has caused me to feel lazy and just generally unproductive.

That being said, I need to put some pep in my step, which has lead me to my quote of the day! This quote is all about moving forward and pushing towards your goal no matter what.

“If you can’t fly, then run If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #3

As my week comes to a close, and the weekend looms in front of me, I am aware of how important a work-life balance is to me. So, I thought I would centre my quote around this concept.

It seems like such a foreign concept, doesn’t it? Being able to “have it all” seems so far out of reach. It is the unattainable dream, if you will. However, I am a firm believer that it is possible to have it all. Or, at least, I’m hoping I can find a way to make it a reality.

The quote I chose for today is simple, punchy and straight to the point. I am a fan of these as they are easy to remember and easy to transfer onto mirrors and sticky notes for in the moment inspiration.

“Don’t confuse having a career with having a life.” – Hilary Rodham Clinton

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #2

After waking up from a rough night’s sleep, I was in need of motivation to just get up and go. I thought this one was not only inspirational and motivational, but like a mantra I want to live by. Enjoy!

“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.” –  Nora Roberts

Inspiring Quotes of the Day #1

As I was sitting on the bus on my way to work this morning, it came to me. The thought that I could use this blog to inspire myself and others, not only in a professional way, but on a personal level too. This blog is a reflection of myself, and I am a very genuine person, who sometimes, needs a little inspiration. That being said, I have created this “Inspiring Quotes of the Day” series.

I will be posting these from Monday to Friday, as I feel that everyone needs a little inspiration during the week. Hopefully, I’ll be able to keep up with it and it will teach me to be more disciplined as well. Hmm…I think I’m getting the hang of this whole “blogging” thing.

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing.”  – Pele
